How to Whiten Teeth Naturally at Home
Believe it or not, you don’t need to break the bank to get a sparkling white Hollywood smile like Anne Hathaway’s. There’s no need to spend all your savings at the dentist for an expensive laser teeth whitening procedure, and there’s certainly no need to buy home teeth bleaching kits that might have all sorts of toxic chemicals in them.
You don’t need any of that… because you can do it yourself at home. With natural ingredients.
Here are a few ways to achieve a whiter, brighter, more stunning smile the natural way:
Brushing with baking soda
Before brushing your teeth, dip your toothbrush–which should already be loaded with toothpaste–into some baking soda. Brush your teeth as you normally would, but pay special attention to the front teeth. Since they are the most visible, you want them to be as white as can be.
Do this for a few consecutive days, then give your teeth a break, because too much baking soda can break down the tooth enamel.
Oil pulling with coconut oil
Not only does oil pulling whiten your teeth, it also keeps your gums nice and healthy. Simply swish one teaspoon of coconut oil in your mouth for about 15 minutes, then spit the oil out, rinse, and brush your teeth.
If possible, do this every day!
Munching on strawberries
This is probably the best tip yet. Strawberries contain malic acid, which has been known to reduce stains and discoloration in teeth. Just munch on them frequently, or if you have the time, crush them into a pulp and apply directly to your teeth. Leave on for five minutes.
Oh, and one more thing: DITCH the coffee, soda, and other dark colored drinks that can stain your teeth–or at least try to lessen your consumption of these beverages. However, if you must drink coffee, be sure to rinse your mouth right after to prevent it from staining your teeth.
You don’t want to end up like Lindsay, do you?
Yeah, didn’t think so.
