10 Beauty Uses for Coconut Oil

1. Facial Moisturizer

Keep your skin hydrated by slathering on some coconut oil before bedtime. Bonus: It has anti-bacterial properties to help keep acne at bay!

2. Eye Cream

Instead of buying an expensive eye cream, grab some coconut oil and pat them around the eye area to prevent/treat wrinkles and eye bags.

3. Makeup Remover

Ran out of makeup remover? No sweat. Head over to the kitchen, pop open a jar of coconut oil, and apply to your face. Then, wipe it all off with tissues, cotton pads, or baby wipes.

4.  Lip balm

Yes, this wonder product can stand in for your lip balm, too. Apply some on your lips before bedtime to wake up to super soft lips! You can also use it throughout the day to keep your lips hydrated–but it would probably feel too greasy.

5. Body Moisturizer

Apply on damp skin after your shower. You’ll smell like coconuts but hey, at least your skin will be fabulously moisturized!

6. Shaving Cream

Use coconut oil for shaving to help prevent razor burn.

7. Sunburn Remedy

Overdid it at the beach? Just apply coconut oil on the sunburnt areas for quick relief.

8. Mouthwash

You read that right. Swish some coconut oil (about one tablespoon) in your mouth for 15-20 minutes to keep your breath fresh. This method is called oil pulling, and is said to help whiten teeth and provide other health benefits.

9. Deep Conditioning Treatment for Hair

Apply coconut oil to damp hair, and leave it in for several hours. You could even leave it in overnight, for extra hair conditioning!

10. Scar and Stretch Mark Remedy

Can you believe it? Coconut oil can apparently also help minimize the appearance of scars (even acne scars) and stretch marks. That’s kind of amazing, isn’t it?

Who knew coconut oil was so awesome? It’s a really cheap and all-natural alternative to almost everything you need for your hair, skin and more–you might even like it so much, you may never buy another one of those expensive hair and skin care products
