Renèe Fleming

Renee FlemingRenèe Fleming is a talented soprano, a classically trained opera singer who has since begun covering songs by indie-rock and pop artists.  She has been nominated for the Grammy Awards twelve times, and performed at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games as well as the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.  Her CD, “Dark Hope,” provides a different take on many classic and well-known songs, including:  “Mad World” by Tears for Fears “Hallelujah” Leonard Cohen.  After receiving “Dark Hope” as a gift from my father, it has quickly become one of my favorite CD’s,  one that I would recommend to friends without hesitation.
