Ready To Run Or Ready For Fun?

We anticipate the “big day” from the time we are little girls. Heck, we start from the moment we get our first Barbie and Ken doll! I am talking about our wedding day! How we envision it to be in a beautiful church or on the beach-surrounded by the most important people in our lives. If you plan on getting married, here are a few tips to keep you away from “cold feet”.

  • Surround yourself with people that are as happy as you are about your approaching marriage. If you have friends nor family members that have disapproved of your relationship from day one, keep your distance. This is about YOUR happiness!
  • Keep the flame alive in your relationship! Often times when we know our partner is ours, we tend to get “too comfortable”. This can create a sense of losing the flame. Even if you are engaged, make date nights and have alone time. If you are planning on spending the rest of your lives together, you better start building on the flame now.
  • Future In-Laws! Ackkk! No, wrong mindset! Even if your future spouse is aware of how annoying their parents are, keep it classy. You will have his/her family in your life for the rest of your life…so it”s better to bite your tongue than to cause a family war. Less drama, better marriage.

If you are a future bride, congrats from My 10! Remember to be YOU on our wedding day and have FUN! Hopefully, this will be our one and only “big day”!
