Music Will Set You Free
Had a bad day again and nothing is going to cheer you up. Well, that’s what you think. You have tried everything that you know you love. An entire bag of chocolate, 2 pizzas, cigarettes, and several other things that are bad for you but they always make you feel better. Nothing happened. You are still depressed and feeling messier than ever. What in the world is going to cheer you up? Even your friends haven’t been able to make you laugh today. They always have a weird strategy to get you to laugh. Ugh… not this time!
I’ve got it! Why don’t you try listening to music!?
Get that great feeling of going out by pumping up those club jams. Get some Pitbull rocking in your room and have a dance off with yourself in the mirror. Music will help you let out all of the tension from the stress and you will be able to think clearly again. Forget about the rest of the world and just turn on those jams!
If it’s not Pitbull, then maybe you would like to put on Bullet For My Valentine or Foster The People. Anything that will feed into your feelings will help you. If you are miserable, I don’t recommend you listening to songs that might upset you even more. On the other hand, sometimes it is therapeutic to get all of your feelings out. Music can help you do that. Sing at the top of your lungs even if you can’t sing. Find a song where the words match your life at this point. Relate to the song and let it set you free. You will be able to be free of your sadness or anger and start to feel a lot better.
Many songs that are out there were written an produced for specific reasons. Remember, you are not the only one going through what is happening right now. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t feel the way you feel, but you will be able to help yourself if you listen to some music. Try it out!
